As soon as the boy began talking about her parents and how they helped Harry Potter save the world, she let her mind wander in awe. Sure, she had thought about this many times, but... she was the daughter, the eldest, the first-born... of two of the greatest wizards in history. It was an amazing thought, and needless to say Rose was very proud of it. Anybody would be, but with the pride came a sense of responsibility and honor. And that, on the other hand, wasn't so pleasant.
Rose realized that even though she had a right to be proud, she was under a lot of pressure. She had to live up to expectations, and not just of the wizarding world's. Of her parents'. And that was the hardest thing of all. Not to mention the media was monitoring her every move, so Rose was exceedingly annoyed by that anyway.
"Yeah, this place is important to me," Rose sighed, looking up at the high ceilings in wonder. But then she realized what she had just said, and with what tone. "And don't you forget it. Oh, wait, never mind. You don't care. Why do you go to this school?" Sure, the question was sudden and unexpected, but now Rose was honestly curious.
Noah watched the girl as her mind seemed to drift off, wondering what she was thinking about, what chain of memories he had set off. He regarded her in silence, until she spoke, "You're right again, I don't care."
Her second question caught him off guard. Why did he attend Hogwarts? He couldn't answer honestly. It was his turn to drift off in thought, remembering his mother telling him that he should learn to control his powers and use them to do good things. His fatherinforming him that Hogwarts was probably the best wizarding school in the world.
He didn't give a damn about what his father thought, but he didn't want to disappoint his mother. Running a hand through his hair she sighed and looked up, "Maybe because I'm a wizard, and it's what wizards do..."
As anyone could guess, Rose was secretly pleased that she managed to catch him off-guard with her question. She smirked slightly, and was quite proud of herself considering as she rarely did that with anyone. At home, someone always seemed to notice that she was coming. She never seemed to surpride anyone. It made her a tad miffed from time to time.
When the boy answered, Rose snorted at his answer. She folded her arms a bit more tightly against her chest and shook her head in disbelief. "All because you're a wizard, doesn't mean you have to go to Hogwarts," she answered proudly. "It's a choice. Which has to mean that you care about something."
Rose was quite proud with this revelation, seeing as she loved any revelation that she made. "And therefore, you should also care about your well-being. Which is why you shouldn't smoke." Rose smirked at him, still relishing in her pride.
The fifth year's eyes narrowed at the snort, not liking that she seemed to think she was better than him, that she could tell him what he did or did not care about something. True, he was there because his mother insisted upon it. And he couldn't bear to let his mother down. It was why he still manged to get passing marks, why his mother didn't know he had been smoking for the last two years.
"Wrong." He informered her when she said he must care about something, "I can come to Hogwarts just because it's what's expected of me without actually caring."
He smirked when she repeated the bit about smoking being bad for his health, "Now your sounding as though you care." It was his turn to try to catch her off gaurd, "I'm flattered, really, but you're not my type."
