pouring rain outside, lightning flashing throughout the sky. cloak wrapped around her lean frame, cassi jogged through the courtyard, the hood of her cloak slipping, but, she didn't reach to fix it. personally, she liked the rain, just not when she had her books in her bag and she'd been fairly far away from the school. her blonde hair was almost black with water and her eyes were dark with shadows as she made her way through the rain soaked grounds. dodging puddles and mud, she felt sure of her footing, although, it would probably be necessary to put her converse in front of the fireplace for the night to dry them out.

another bolt of lightning darted through the sky, but this time, she didn't even flinch, she was beginning to get used to the lightning and the thunder that echoed throughout the sky. the trees moaned as a gust of wind pounded them, knocking her hood off of her head, allowing her blonde hair to pool out over her shoulders, any hair that was dry was almost immediately soaked. her pace picked up just slightly, ready to be inside, protect her books and get dry. but, with the increase of her pace, came the increase of her clumsiness. she stumbled slightly, but regained her balance quickly, slowing to a stop as soon as she was sure her feet were under her.

another flash of lightning illuminated everything, and then she saw that it was only about 100 more feet until the castle steps. running a hand through her wet hair, she returned to her treck to the castle, clearing the distance quickly with her long stride. climbing the stairs quickly, she slipped into the hall, unfortunately it was a little more literal than most would think. the minute both her feet were inside the building, she slipped, sending her bookbag and all its contents sliding across the floor. but, she lay there winded, her blue eyes sort of glazed. when she managed to get her breath back into her, she sighed, coughing just slightly because she'd swallowed some water.

shaking her head and cursing under her breath, she pushed herself up so that she was sitting on her knees. looking at all her books and papers, notes, quills, all the normal stuff that a student carried in their bag, all of it scattered across the floors. and for a girl as ocd as her, this bugged the crap out of her. sighing, she pushed her hair out of her face once more and then began collecting all of her things, muttering the whole time.

Well it seemed that the weather outside was not very pleasant. That was just how Scorpius liked it. However, he did not want to be out in it. Instead, he had spent quite a while in the Great Hall just eating some snacks and whatever the House Elves happened to be offering. That was good of them to offer. He liked subservience. The fact that they were not Potters was a little disappointing, but he did his best to occasionally pretend that they were. That made for some very entertaining images. Especially when one of the elves had tripped over a few of the others and a bunch of plates fell onto them. Scorpius had quite a big laugh at that. Well, some of the other students had given him some very weird looks after that. They could think whatever the hell they wanted to, but he did not care too much. They were foolish to think he was being insensitive, or whatever that word was.

It was not a surprise that the students were being forced out of the Great Hall. Apparently they thought it was getting late or something. Maybe they just wanted to clean the place and needed the students out. That was fine with Scorpius. He could obviously find something much more entertaining to do outside of the Hall. Maybe he could find some students to play pranks on. First, however, he was going to need to head back across the Entrance Hall to the Dungeons. He was going to need to get some stuff from his dorm, probably some items that he would need to make some pranks and such. Not everything was as easy as Scorpius wanted it to be, but that was fine. He enjoyed a challenge.

So, he was forced out, and was making his way across the hall. It seemed that someone had come in from outside. How entertaining. It was raining far too hard for anyone to be outside, yet this person had been. Just great. Hopefully they would trip or something. At the sound he had heard, Scorpius knew it had happened. He did not look, but could hear the sound of someone falling and what he assumed were their items spilling all over the floor. It was not too be all too enjoyable for this Malfoy, however. It appeared those items had slid far enough to where he had been walking, and without paying attention, something had been caught up under his foot. It had pulled them out from under him, and he landed hard on his back. It took him a moment to realize what had happened, and he rolled on his side to look over to this person. He could not tell who it was right away, which was probably good.

Scorpius pulled himself to his feet fairly quickly, Turning his full body towards this person, who he could tell was a girl. Who it was, however, was still eluding him. There were things across the floor just about everywhere. That was just plain unlucky, but what did it matter. She had tripped him, and that was all he was focused on. His feet carried him quickly over to where she was, and he knelt down in front of this girl. In his usually patronizing tone, Scorpius spoke. "Watch yourself, girl. You're on very dangerous terms with me now." He tilted his head down to the side to get a little bit of a better view of this girl's face. That was when he realized who it was. Apparently Cassandra had been the one outside and done the tripping and such. That was disappointing. However, he could not be mad at her. Her name caused quite a bit of respect in Scorpius. "Oh. Cassandra. It's just you. Nevermind what I had said before. You know how it is around here." He had to try and do something to sound a little less annoyed, although, that probably would not leave him for a little while.

why did her klutziness have to always follow her one way or another? her mom was one of the most graceful people she knew, and, of course, she'd never met her dad, but, she figured he wasn't much of a klutz, so why was she? for the normally proud teen, all she wanted to do was vanish, this type of thing was just humiliating, so, her mind forced her to just kind of stay there on the ground, praying that no one would see her or something, in all honesty, she didn't know. but when she heard someone else hit the ground, her blue eyes flashed, they'd stepped on one of her books, now that pissed her off.

she heard whoever it was get to his feet and the sharp click of his shoes walking across the floor towards her. glaring at his shoes when he knelt in front of her, she tried to place who it was, and then she heard his voice. Watch yourself, girl. You're on very dangerous terms with me now. she recognised it, but she couldn't quite put her finger on i- scorpius. lifting her chin almost defiantly, she looked at scorpius, wanting to see his face when he realised it was her. her soaked hair fell over her shoulder as she looked at him, but, at least she had a bit of her usual spark again. Oh. Cassandra. It's just you. Nevermind what I had said before. You know how it is around here.

she could still hear the annoyance in his tone, but, she knew him well enough to be able to put it past. that i do, scorpius, that i do. pushing herself up so that she was perched on her knees, she ran her hand across her forehead, clearing off some of the water that still was managing to cling to her. i guess it would be pointless of me to ask you to pass me the book you stepped on, or would it? she gave a slightly pointed look at the text that had a nice scorpius footprint on the cover, but, wasn't being as harsh as she would have been had it been anyone else.
